Staff & elders

We have a passion for people, our city and our world. Our culture and leadership are characterized by worship, the love of God, and a genuine call to ministry. This staff culture has been shaped by our staff's deep relationships and sense of community, and their mutual love of serving the Kingdom.

  • Steve Malone

    Lead Pastor

I became the Lead Pastor at Maple Grove back in September of 2010. And let me tell you it has been a great ride so far. I love this church! Prior to coming to The Grove, I have served in several churches in Florida and Georgia beginning way back in 1991. I also served 9 ½ years in the US Navy onboard nuclear submarines, which may answer some of the questions you may have about me after you meet me.

Okay, let me tell you what drives me as a pastor - introducing people to Jesus and having Him come into their lives, so that they can live the lives God created them to live.

  • Laurie Malone

    Youth Minister

I get the privilege of being the Youth Pastor for the incredible students here at The Grove. I have been on staff since June 2011 and have served as a youth pastor for several years before and there is no other place I would rather be. My primary goal is to show Students that they matter to GOD and that they are loved and valued. We welcome all kinds of students, no matter who they are or where they are in their journey with God.

  • Hannah Yost

    Office Manager

I have been on staff since the Summer of 2014. I grew up at The Grove, and I love being a part of this family! My primary goal here is to help the Church and staff be effective, whether that is printing bulletins, managing ministries, or hanging out with students. I am usually the first point of contact, so if you have any questions feel free to direct them to me! When I'm not at Church, I enjoy drinking unhealthy amounts of espresso and trying to wrangle my toddler.

Elders

Our Elders are Godly men who have taken on the responsibility of protecting and guiding the flock, through prayer, teaching, mentoring, and providing wisdom. If you are in need of prayer, our Elders would be happy to listen and pray for you.
